मुख्यमंत्री ठाकुर सुखविंदर सिंह सुक्खू ने आज यहां हिमाचल प्रदेश राज्य दुग्ध उत्पादक प्रसंघ (मिल्कफेड) की समीक्षा बैठक की अध्यक्षता की। मुख्यमंत्री ने अधिकारियों को ढगवार दुग्ध संयंत्र के निर्माण से जुड़ी सभी प्रक्रियाएं और इसका निर्माण समयबद्ध पूर्ण करने के निर्देश दिए। इससे क्षेत्र की आर्थिकी को बड़े पैमाने पर प्रोत्साहन मिलेगा।
उन्होंने कहा कि प्रदेश सरकार ग्रामीण अर्थव्यवस्था को सुदृढ़ करने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है और इसमें दुग्ध उत्पादन से जुड़ी गतिविधियों की भूमिका अहम है। प्रदेश सरकार ग्रामीण अर्थव्यवस्था से जुड़े हितधारकों को सशक्त करने पर विशेष अधिमान दे रही है। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि दुग्ध संयंत्र कुल्लू, हमीरपुर, नाहन और दुग्ध संयंत्र ऊना की क्षमता 20-20 हजार लीटर की जाए।
उन्होंने कहा कि दुग्ध उत्पादन समितियों के पंजीकरण में तेजी लाई जाए और पंजीकरण प्रक्रिया में किसानों को हर सम्भव सहायता प्रदान की जाए। उन्होंने किसानों के क्षमता निर्माण और दुग्ध गुणवत्ता पर विशेष ध्यान कंेद्रित करने के निर्देश दिए। मुख्यमंत्री ने दुग्ध विपणन प्रक्रिया व इसके परिवहन का युक्तिकरण करने के भी निर्देश दिए। उन्होंने कहा कि मिल्कफेड के ट्रेडमार्क हिम का भारत सरकार द्वारा पंजीकरण कर दिया गया है।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि प्रदेश में वर्तमान में 1148 ग्राम दुग्ध सहकारी समितियां हैं जिनके 47905 सदस्य हैं। इनमें महिलाओं की संख्या 19388 है। वर्तमान में प्रदेश में 11 दुग्ध उत्पादन संयंत्र और 116 बल्क मिल्क कूलर स्थापित हैं। मिल्कफेड द्वारा उठाए गए विभिन्न कदमों से दुग्ध एकत्रीकरण के गुणवत्ता मापदण्डों में आशातीत बढ़ोतरी हुई है।कृषि मंत्री प्रो. चन्द्र कुमार ने कहा कि दुग्ध गतिविधियों को सशक्त करने के लिए समितियों का पंजीकरण नितांत आवश्यक है।
इससे किसानों का सशक्तिकरण होगा। उन्होंने कहा कि मिल्कफेड को सशक्त करने के लिए गुणवत्ता पर विशेष ध्यान केंद्रित किया जाना चाहिए। बैठक में मुख्य सचिव प्रबोध सक्सेना, मुख्यमंत्री के सचिव राकेश कंवर, मिल्कफेड के प्रबंध निदेशक डॉ. विकास सूद, निदेशक पशुपालन विभाग डॉ. प्रदीप शर्मा, वरिष्ठ प्रबंधक प्रीति आर्या और अन्य वरिष्ठ अधिकारी उपस्थित थे।
Special emphasis on strengthening rural economy, says CM Sukhu during HPMilkfed review meeting
Speed-up registration of milk production co-operatives and ensure quality milk production, directs Chief Minister

Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today here chaired the review meeting of the Himachal Pradesh State Co-operative Milk Producer's Federation Limited (HPMilkfed). He directed the officers to ensure timely completion of the construction of Dhagwar milk plant.
The Chief Minister added that the state government was committed for welfare of the rural areas and its people by strengthening the rural economy of the state. "The activities related to milk production and processed items would play a pivotal role in this regard. The government was giving special preference and was whole-heartedly committed to provide all-out support to all the stake-holders of the rural economy," stated Sh. Sukhu.
The Chief Minister further directed to increase the capacity of milk plants in Kullu, Nahan, Hamirpur and Una to 20,000 liters per plant, besides speeding up the registration of the milk production co-operatives and aiding the farmers in the registration process. He also asked to pay special attention on capacity building of farmers and on quality of milk production. Sh. Sukhu also directed to rationalize the milk marketing process and its transportation.
He said that the trademark of HPMilkfed "HIM" has been registered by the Government of India. The Chief Minister said that at present there are 1,148 village dairy co-operatives in the state having 47,905 members, including 19,388 women members. Similarly, there are 11 milk plants and 116 bulk milk coolers installed in the state. As a result of various initiatives by the HPMilkfed, the quality standards of milk collection have improved.
Agriculture Minister Prof. Chander Kumar said that registration of societies is absolutely necessary to strengthen milk related economy in the state and this would empower the farmers as well. He emphasized on paying special attention on quality production in order to strengthen the HPMilkfed.
Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena, Secretary to the Chief Minister, Rakesh Kanwar, Managing Director HPMilkfed Dr. Vikas Sood, Director Animal Husbandry Department Dr. Pradeep Sharma, Senior Manager Preeti Arya and other senior officers were present in the meeting.
