Haryana Transport Department Operates 595 Buses for Devotees Traveling to Mahakumbh

Haryana Transport Minister  said that, to facilitate devotees attending the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, the state trasport department had operated a total of 595 buses from all districts upto February 21, with all buses running at full capacity. 

The transport department has recorded an average receipt of ₹43.85 per kilometer under this arrangement. Sh. Anil Vij mentioned that the transport department had decided to introduce bus services due to the increasing number of devotees traveling to the Mahakumbh. 

As a result, the operation of buses was initiated. He further highlighted that each bus had an occupancy rate of around 80-85%, and the transport department was earning an average of ₹43.85 per kilometer.

The introduction of bus services from Haryana has greatly benefited devotees traveling to and from the Mahakumbh. Vij confirmed that Haryana Roadways will continue to run buses to Prayagraj until the end of the Mahakumbh.
