Program organized to celebrate Goa Day

Goa Day was celebrated on Thursday under the aegis of Goa Tourism Development Corporation at the fair. Artists from Goa enthralled the audience by giving a group presentation of lamp dance at the main Chaupal.

In his address, the General Manager praised the grand organization of the fair by the Haryana Government. He said just as Haryana has established its identity in the world on the basis of its cultural heritage, Goa has also established its dominance with tourism, art and culture.

He thanked Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, Tourism and Heritage Minister Dr. Arvind Kumar Sharma, Principal Secretary of Tourism Corporation and Vice Chairperson of Mela Authority Smt. Kala Ramachandran and Managing Director of the Corporation Dr. Sunil Kumar and his team for all the cooperation and support given to Goa Tourism in the Surajkund International Crafts Mela.

He said 44 countries and more than 600 international artisans are participating in this international fair with more than 1200 stalls, making it truly one of the largest art and craft exhibitions in the world. On this occasion, officials from Singapore, Malaysia, Ministry of External Affairs, Deputy Director of Goa Tourism Development Corporation Sh. Dheeraj Wagle, AGM of Haryana Tourism Corporation Sh. Harvinder Singh, AGM Rajpal Singh, Manager Sunil Sharma, officials and dignitaries of Goa and Haryana Tourism Corporation were present on the occasion.
