DC Kulgam reviews RDSS projects in district

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan convened a meeting of PDD to review the progress of ongoing works under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) in District at Mini-secretariat, here. During the meeting, General Manager Power Grid briefed the meeting regarding the status of ongoing projects in the district through Power Point Presentation. 

It was informed that the RDSS, with a project cost of Rs 113 crore, aims to strengthen the power distribution infrastructure in the district by installing 618 new distribution transformers and 330 km of LT Aerial Bundled Cables (ABC) and 450 km of HT reconductor Circuit kmts.

The initiative is designed to reduce Aggregate Technical and Commercial (AT&C) losses in Kulgam the Chairman was apprised. The scheme is being implemented by Power Grid Corporation of India. 

It was informed that the physical progress of the works currently stands at approximately 30%. The DC expressed displeasure with the delayed supply of distribution transformers and directed the concerned to expedite the delivery process to ensure timely completion of the project. 

He instructed to mobilize men and machinery to ensure completion of projects well in time. DC emphasized the importance of completing the works within the stipulated timeline to enhance the reliability and efficiency of the power distribution system in the district. 

The meeting was also attended by ADDC Altaf Khan, Senior G M PGC, S E  KPDCL Circle Bijbehara, Executive Engineers of KPDCL, STD Bijbehara, NH444 Sgr, Project Division Sgr, Project Wing (PGCIL) Tehsildar Pahloo and other Officers of PDD.
