Governor inaugurates 38th AIU Inter-University North West Zone Youth Festival

Haryana Governor, Sh.  Bandaru Dattatraya on Saturday inaugurated the 38th AIU Inter-University North West Zone Youth Festival at Om Sterling Global University (OSGU), Hisar. Speaking on the occasion, the Governor said that education serves as the foundation for progress in life. 

Along with education, cultural programmes are essential for the overall development of an individual’s personality, he said.Notably, the five-day youth festival features participation from 23 universities across the North-West zone, including 6 universities from Rajasthan, 15 from Haryana, and 2 from Delhi. 

A total of 931 participants are taking part in the festival.The Governor said that the objective of education is not just to obtain degrees but also to nurture well-rounded, cultured, and intellectually enriched individuals. One of the key purposes of higher education is to provide students with ample opportunities for their holistic personality development, said  Sh.  Bandaru Dattatraya.

The Governor, while referring to the New Education Policy, said that the recently introduced policy integrates education with modern technology, covering subjects such as 3D painting and artificial intelligence.He further said that India is a nation of energetic and enthusiastic youth. 

Today, the youth of the country are showcasing their talent, skills, and achievements on the global stage and organizing a youth festival every year is highly commendable, as it provides talented students with a golden opportunity to present the fusion of their culture and art while setting new aspirations, dreams, and goals for themselves, said  Sh.  Bandaru Dattatraya.
