Swachhta Rally Organized by Government Hospital Gandhinagar Jammu in Collaboration with Jammu Municipal Corporation

The Government Hospital Gandhinagar Jammu, in collaboration with the Jammu Municipal Corporation, successfully organized a Swachhta Rally today as part of the ongoing Outside Boundary Kayakalp activities. The event was graced by Hon'ble MLA Ramgarh and Former Minister for Health and Medical Education J&K, Dr Devinder Kumar Manyal and Hon'ble MLA Bahu, Vikram Randhawa, who actively participated in the rally and also took part in a plantation drive within the OPD complex of the hospital.
The plantation drive was organized with the support of the Department of Floriculture, which provided flowering and ornamental plants for the hospital complex. During the event, Dr Abdul Hamid Zargar, Medical Superintendent, and Dr Bavinder Singh, Deputy Medical Superintendent, briefed the attendees about the various ongoing cleanliness and environmental activities being carried out at the hospital.
In a show of solidarity for the Swachh Bharat initiative, NYK Jammu and NSS students from Women's College Parade joined the rally and participated enthusiastically in the cleanliness drive. Dr Poonam Manyal, Dr Ruchita Mahajan and Dr Shivani distributed "My Bharat" caps to the participating students, promoting a sense of national pride and commitment towards a cleaner India.
The event also featured the distribution of pamphlets highlighting the significance of Swachhta (cleanliness) and the "Go Green" concept. These pamphlets were distributed by the hospital's counsellors to nearby shops, raising awareness about the importance of maintaining a clean and sustainable environment.
Hon'ble MLAs, Vikram Randhawa and Dr Devinder Kumar Manyal, while flagging off the rally, reaffirmed their support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a Swachh Bharat (Clean India). They emphasized the pivotal role that cleanliness and environmental responsibility play in building a healthier and more prosperous nation.
The rally and associated activities showcased a unified effort to promote hygiene, environmental sustainability, and community involvement, reinforcing the values central to the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
