15th National Voter Day Celebrated Grandly at VIT-AP University

VIT-AP University hosted a grand celebration of the 15th National Voter's Day under the supervision of officials from the Guntur District Collector’s Office. Voter’s awareness program at VIT-AP University was a resounding success, emphasizing the importance of active voter participation and inspiring students to take pride in their democratic responsibilities.
The event was graced by Mr. A. Bhargava Teja, IAS, Joint Collector of Guntur District, as the chief guest. In his address, Mr. Bhargava Teja highlighted the vital role of voter participation in a thriving democracy. He urged every individual aged 18 and above to register as a voter and actively participate in elections.
He expressed concern over the lack of electoral participation among youth and educated individuals in urban areas and encouraged them to exercise their voting rights to contribute meaningfully to the nation’s progress. As part of the event, the chief guest administered the voter pledge to the students and honored senior citizens who have consistently exercised their voting rights over the years, recognizing their dedication to democratic principles.
Dr. S.V. Kota Reddy, Vice-Chancellor of VIT-AP University, expressed his gratitude to the government officials for selecting VIT-AP University as the venue for this significant celebration. He proudly shared the institution's remarkable growth since its inception in 2017, starting with 600 students and expanding to over 17,000 students.
Dr. Reddy encouraged students who are yet to register as voters to take this opportunity to fulfill their civic duty. He said "National Voter's Day reminds us of our duty to uphold democracy. He encouraged every student to register as a voter and take an active role in shaping the future of our nation."
Mr. M. Gangaraju, Special Deputy Collector, Guntur said Active voter participation is the foundation of a strong democracy. He urged every eligible individual, especially the youth, to embrace their responsibility as voters and contribute to shaping the nation's future."
The celebration witnessed the participation of several distinguished guests including Dr. Jagadish Chandra Mudiganti, Registrar of VIT-AP University; Dr. Khadeer Pasha, Deputy Director of Student Welfare VIT-AP University; Ms. Sujatha, Tahsildar of Thulluru; and Mr. K. Nasarayya, Tahsildar of Tadikonda. The event also saw enthusiastic involvement from students, faculty, and staff members.
