Haryana to Launch Pilot Project for Solar Power Houses to Provide Daytime Electricity to Farmers

Haryana’s Energy, Transport, and Labor Minister, Anil Vij, said that a pilot project would be launched to set up solar power houses in Haryana to provide daytime electricity to farmers. A study is currently underway for this project. If successful, it will help save a significant amount of electricity. 

He mentioned that the project will be implemented in villages where land is available. Additionally, a proposal has been sent to the government to replace bare electrical wires with covered ones to prevent electricity theft through illegal connections. Anil Vij was interacting with media persons today at Skylark Resort in Panipat.

Report on Transformer Load Being Prepared -Energy Minister Anil Vij

Regarding changes in the electricity sector, Energy Minister Anil Vij said that instructions had been given to prepare a report on the load on Haryana’s transformers. Officials have also been directed to upgrade transformers. Similarly, a proposal has been sent to replace bare wires with covered ones to prevent electricity theft.

Solar Power Houses Suggested for Tube Well Electricity in Villages- Energy Minister Anil Vij

The Energy Minister mentioned that during a recent regional conference on solar energy in Jaipur, he suggested setting up solar power houses in villages to provide daytime electricity. He explained that storing electricity for nighttime use requires batteries, which are expensive, while daytime electricity is more cost-effective. 

He proposed that tube well connections be provided from these solar power houses. Just as office workers go to work in the morning and return home in the evening, he envisions farmers working in their fields during the day and returning home in the evening to spend time with their families. This suggestion was well received at the conference.

Pilot Project Proposal for Better Food at Bus Stands -Transport Minister Anil Vij

In response to a question, Cabinet Minister Anil Vij stated that while the Energy Department is a technical department, improvements are being made in the Transport Department. Bus stands are being upgraded to provide better facilities. Efforts are being made to ensure good-quality food at bus stands. 

A proposal has been sent to the Chief Minister to provide food at bus stands under a pilot project in collaboration with Haryana Tourism. The goal is to ensure that passengers get clean and good-quality food at bus stands and that washrooms are well-maintained.

Meanwhile, regarding a proposal from the Horticulture Department to provide electricity at ₹2.50 per unit to mushroom growers, the Energy Minister said that the matter is under review.

Haryana Government is Working Day and Night- Vij

When asked about the completion of 100 days of the government, Minister Anil Vij stated that the Haryana government is working tirelessly. In these 100 days, 25,000 people have been given jobs, and various other initiatives have been undertaken. The Chief Minister will soon share more details about the government’s achievements.

BJP Will form Government in Delhi – Vij

Recalling the Haryana Assembly elections last year, Vij said that he had predicted a BJP government in Haryana, and it happened. Similarly, he claimed that the BJP will form the government in Delhi as well. He stated that Kejriwal’s so-called "web of lies" has been exposed. 

He accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of being born out of deception, stating that the anti-corruption movement led by Anna Hazare was exploited by Kejriwal and others to form their party through deceit. He remarked that things acquired through deception always end badly.

Regarding the farmers’ protest, Cabinet Minister Anil Vij said that discussions are ongoing. He noted that farmers are currently protesting on Punjab’s land, with Dallewala Ji staging a hunger strike there.
