Guru Nanak Dev University Hosts 5-Day Boot Camp on Drone Technology in Collaboration with NIT Jalandhar

Under the visionary guidance of the worthy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Karamjeet Singh, Guru Nanak Dev University, the department Electronics Technology in collaboration with Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar organized a 5-Day Boot Camp on “Drone Dynamics: Drone Technology, Trends and Applications” from 20th – 24th January, 2025.
During the inaugural ceremony of the boot camp, Dr. Ravinder Kumar, Head of Department welcomed the experts Prof. Arun Khosla and his team from NIT, Jalandhar for conducting the boot camp in the department.
He said we are thrilled to witness such a diverse and passionate group of participants coming together to explore the exciting realm of drone technology. Over the next five days, participants will be engaged in an intensive learning experience, exploring the latest advancements in drone assembly, innovative research, and practical applications.
Our goal with this bootcamp is to provide the knowledge and hands-on skills necessary to excel in this rapidly evolving field. This initiative is part of the larger project "Capacity Building forHuman Resource Development in Unmanned Aircraft Systems (Drone and Related Technology),"funded by MeitY.
This project mandates every participating institute to organize such bootcamps to foster the development of skilled professionals in drone technology. This boot camp sets the stage for participants to explore the vast potential of drones in various domains, preparing them to contribute to technological advancements and industry applications.
Dr. Rajdeep Singh Sohal, Coordinator of the boot camp, thanked all the dignitaries and participants for gracing the event with their presence. Dr. Maninder Lal Singh, Director Research, Dr. Ravinder Singh Sawhney, Dr. Shalini Bahel, Professor Incharge (Examination) and other faculty members of the department were also present during the inaugural ceremony of the boot camp.
