Union Minister of Power, Housing and Urban Development, Sh. Manohar Lal, visited the Dham located in Chulkana village, Panipat district, on Sunday evening and paid obeisance at the famous Shyam temple. While addressing the people at the felicitation function organized by the villagers, he emphasized the importance of creating an environment of goodness in society, a vision being realized by Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi. 

He further stated, " Today, no one in the entire world can look at India with raised eyes;’ this is Modi's guarantee." Sh Manohar Lal said that he had made up his mind to start the Gaon Darshan Yatra from Chulkana village in the year 2025, which is being started by taking blessings of Shyam Baba.

He stated that the government is working to ensure the well-being of the poor both at the national and state levels, with no shortage of funds for development. He also assured the villagers that a gymnasium and yogashala would be built in Chulkana village within the next six months, adding that the yogashala would be walled, with trees and plants also being planted. 

He requested the Gram Panchayat to provide two acres of land for this initiative. He expressed great joy saying that nearly four hundred jobs had been given in the village without any kharch-parchi. 

He appealed to the people to form a team of 10-15 members to prepare a list of 300 poor families in Chulkana village and help motivate the youth of these families to pursue self-employment and establish their own livelihoods.
