Pays a visit to Various Villages to review the works on the ground

Vidhan Sabha Committee on Panchayati Raj Institutes led by Chairman Principal Budh Ram visited Derabassi today. Briefing the details, MLA Derabassi Kuljit Singh Randhawa who is also part of the Committee as a member, said that the Committee Members visited today included 

Chairman Principal Budh Ram, S. Amolak Singh, ADC S. Jaswinder Singh Ramdas, Sh. Naresh Kataria and S. Rupinder singh Happy reviewed the various schemes being run by Rural Development and Panchayat Department in Derabassi Constituency. Later on, the Committee paid a visit to the villages Baroli, Amlala and Sarsini to check the ongoing rural works.

Sabhapati (Chairman) of the Committee Principal Budh Ram said that during the meeting held at the meeting room of Block Development and Panchayat Office, Derabassi, the Committee reviewed the reports and took first-hand information based on questionnaire related to MGNREGA, Central and State Grants, MP LAD Grant, Dharamshalas, Dhussi Bindu and Retaining Wall, Community Centre and Panchayat Ghar, Environment Protection and Plantation, Streets, Drains and Culverts, Ponds, Shamlat Lands, Income Sources of Panchayati Institutes, Bharat Mala Road Project, Atta Dal Scheme, Play Grounds, Anganwaris, Health Facilities, Libraries, Solid Waste, Liquid Waste and Rain Water Harvesting, Urbanisation, Drainage, Drinking Water, Treatment Plant at Factories, Stray Animals and 15th Finance Commission.

He said that the detailed report would be submitted to the Speaker of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha for further action.
