BJP to start membership drive on Sep 1

To strengthen its unit, the city BJP will start its membership drive from September 1, coinciding with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's launch of the membership campaign. The drive aims to strengthen the party at grassroots level and build on its status as the world's largest political party.

City BJP's preparatory meeting in this regard was held at its office Kamalam in Sector 33. BJP's National Secretary Dr Alka Gurjar, Chandigarh BJP's General Secretary (Organization) Manthri Srinivasulu, President Jatinder Pal Malhotra, former president Sanjay Tandon and others were present during the meeting.

During the meeting, they addressed a gathering of party leaders and motivated them to do well in this regard. Party leaders were also told about the present status of the party and its future plans.

Ramvir Bhatti has been made the convener of the program. While Shakti Devshali has been appointed as the co-convener. Ramesh Sahod and Manish Sharma are the members. The party has released 8800002024 phone number for availing membership. 

Interested people have to give a missed on this. Membership may also be obtained through QR code and NaMo App. "Under the leadership of PM Modi, we are going to hold a major campaign to highlight our party's works and vision and to encourage people to join membership. 

We are already getting queries from people to be part of world's largest political party. We willl start the process from September 1," said president Malhotra. He said party councillors and area leaders and workers will visit in their respective zones for the membership drive. 

Separate meetings with different mandals is regularly being organised to decide about responsibilities for the campaign.
