Haryana Transport Minister, Aseem Goel said that all bus stands in the state will be beautified with greenery and cleanliness, similar to railway stations. Special types of bus stands will be built in Gurugram and Pipli (Kurukshetra) on PPP mode.
Apart from this, bus queue shelters will be built as needed across the state.Sh. Goel shared this information after a review meeting of the Transport Department in Chandigarh today. Principal Secretary, Sh. Navdeep Singh Virk, Director, Sh. Sujan Singh and other senior officers were present during the meeting.
Transport Minister, Sh. Aseem Goel directed departmental officers to ensure proper maintenance of all bus stand premises in state transport depots and sub-depots. He emphasised developing empty spaces and planting trees and grass to make the bus stands look beautiful. He also directed that the cleanliness of public toilets at all bus stands be maintained and that repairs or new constructions be carried out where necessary.
The Transport Minister stated that applications received on the ‘Jan Samvad’ portal for the construction of bus queue shelters should be prioritised. He was informed during the meeting that 127 applications had been received and that the process of building these shelters had begun.
Sh. Aseem Goel said that approval has been granted for an expenditure of Rs. 145.23 lakh for the underground parking facility to be built in front of the Ambala city bus stand. This will benefit people visiting the bus stand, Mahavir Park, and the cloth market by providing parking for their vehicles. Officers have been directed to expedite its construction.

हरियाणा के परिवहन मंत्री श्री असीम गोयल ने कहा कि प्रदेश के सभी बस स्टैंड को रेलवे स्टेशन की तर्ज पर ग्रीनरी लगाकर और सफाई करके खूबसूरत बनाया जाएगा। गुरुग्राम और पिपली ( कुरुक्षेत्र ) में पीपीपी मोड पर विशेष प्रकार के बस स्टैंड बनाये जाएंगे। राज्य में आवश्यकता अनुसार बस क्यू -शेल्टर भी बनाए जाएंगे। श्री गोयल ने आज यह जानकारी परिवहन विभाग की चंडीगढ़ में समीक्षा बैठक के बाद दी। बैठक में विभाग के प्रधान सचिव श्री नवदीप सिंह विर्क तथा निदेशक श्री सुजान सिंह समेत अन्य वरिष्ठ अधिकारी उपस्थित थे।
परिवहन मंत्री श्री असीम गोयल ने समीक्षा बैठक में विभागीय अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिए कि राज्य परिवहन विभाग के सभी डिपो और सब -डिपो में बस स्टैंड परिसर का रख -रखाव बेहतर होना चाहिए। साफ़ -सफाई के साथ -साथ खाली जगह को पार्क की तरह विकसित करें और वहां पर घास , पेड़ -पौधे लगाकर ग्रीनरी बनायें ताकि बस स्टैंड का नजारा खूबसूरत लगे।
उन्होंने सभी बस स्टैंड पर सुलभ -शौचालयों की सफाई -व्यवस्था दुरुस्त करने तथा जहां जरुरत हो वहां पर मुरम्मत या नवनिर्माण भी करवाया जाए।
परिवहन मंत्री ने कहा कि जनसंवाद पोर्टल पर बस क्यू -शेल्टर के निर्माण की मांग को लेकर जितने आवेदन प्राप्त हुए हैं ,उनको प्राथमिकता के आधार पर निर्मित करवाया जाए। मंत्री को जानकारी दी गई कि जनसंवाद पोर्टल पर 127 आवेदन प्राप्त हुए हैं जिनको बनवाने की प्रक्रिया शुरू कर दी है।श्री असीम गोयल ने बताया कि अम्बाला शहर में बस स्टैंड के सामने एक अंडरग्राउण्ड पार्किंग बनाई जाएगी जिसका फायदा बस स्टैंड , महावीर पार्क तथा कपड़ा मार्किट में आने वाले लोगों को अपने वाहन खड़ा करने के लिए होगा।
इस पार्किंग के लिए 145.23 लाख रूपये खर्च होने की स्वीकृति भी हो गई है। उन्होंने अधिकारियों को इसके निर्माण के लिए तेजी से कदम उठाने के निर्देश दिए।परिवहन मंत्री ने यह भी बताया कि प्रदेश की आर्थिक राजधानी कहे जाने वाले गुरुग्राम तथा धार्मिक नगरी कुरुक्षेत्र के पास पीपली में विशेष प्रकार के बस स्टैंड बनाए जाएंगे।
इनमे कमर्शियल दुकानें चलाने के लिए मॉल टाइप डिजाइन तैयार किया जा रहा है। उन्होंने हिसार समेत अन्य जिलों में भी नए बस स्टैंड के निर्माण कार्यों को लेकर समीक्षा की और अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिए कि सभी कार्य निर्धारित अवधि में पूरे होने चाहियें और गुणवत्ता में किसी भी कीमत भी समझौता नहीं किया जाएगा।
