Senior BJP leader Mr Devender Singh Rana today said the overall transformation, holistic development and obtaining peace in Jammu and Kashmir post Abrogation of Article 370 under the leadership of Prime Minister Yashasvi Narendra Modi is the best tribute to Dr Syama Prasad Mukherjee, who offered supreme sacrifice for ‘ Ek Vidhan, Ek Nishan, Ek Pradhan’.

“The supreme sacrifice of Dr Mukherjee this day in 1953 turned to be a motivation for the people across the nation in general and the millions of the BJP Karykartas in particular to emotionally integrate Jammu and Kashmir fully with rest of the country, which happened in one lifetime on August 5-6, 2019”, Mr Rana said at a function at Trikuta Yatri Niwas here this afternoon to commemorate the Balidhan Diwas of the visionary leader.

Mr. Rana said the revocation of the provisos of Article 370 from the Indian Constitution did not only redraw the political contours of the country but also heralded a new era of unity, integration, and progress in Jammu and Kashmir. The vistas of opportunities here unfolded their latent potential, empowering them to take the fruits of development and progress enjoyed by their fellow citizens across the country.

The bold initiatives brought a new hope for marginalised and weaker sections like Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes, Valmiki, refugees, women and the other segments, he added. Refer to the path-breaking initiatives taken in the recent years with thrust on transforming the Union Territory that has unfortunately been subjected to neglect and deprivation by the successive governments in the past, Mr Rana said the people in this part of the country are for the first time having a feel of being at the centre stage of various schemes aimed at ameliorating their lot.

The past nearly five years have witnessed fair deal with both the regions in terms of development and availability of avenues to prosper and progress. The restoration of peace has paved the way for unprecedented initiatives on economic and developmental fronts, the results of which are hugely visible, he said, adding  the people are now deriving the dividends of peace.

He said the BJP is committed to remove the disparity between regions and sub-regions on every front and opportunities for all to flourish, which remained the visionary leaders like Dr Mukherjee, he asserted. Paying glowing tributes to one of the tallest votaries of Akhand Bharat, Mr Rana said the realisation of the unanimous Parliament Resolution of 1994 on Pakistan occupied Jammu Kashmir would be fulfilment of the resolve of compatriots.

He said the life and sacrifice of Dr Mukherjee will continue to inspire generations and motivate them to work towards building a strong India that leads the world in every sphere of activity. The Prime Minister has laid strong edifice for making the nation Vishwaguru and ensuring Viksit Bharat by 2047, he added. On the occasion a blood donation camp was also organised.
