DC Reasi Vishesh Paul Mahajan finalizes arrangements for International Yoga Day

The Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Vishesh Mahajan, convened a meeting today to finalize the arrangements for International Yoga Day. It was decided in the meeting that the main event would take place at the General Zorawar Singh Sports Stadium Reasi.

The DC was informed that all preparations are being managed by the Department of Ayush. He issued specific instructions to various departments to ensure a smooth and successful celebration.

The DC directed the Executive Officer of the Municipality to ensure the cleanliness of the venue and to install dustbins throughout the stadium. He instructed the Health Department to provide medical facilities and an ambulance on site.

Furthermore, he tasked the PHE Department with arranging adequate drinking water for all attendees. In addition to the main event, the DC announced that International Yoga Day would also be celebrated at the World’s Highest Chenab Bridge. He urged officers to organize similar events at the Sub-Division and Tehsil levels to ensure widespread participation across the district.

ADDC Sukhdev Singh Samyal, ADC Kulbhushan Khajuria, PO Poshan Mohd Anwar Banday, ACR Anshumali Sharma, DSP DAR Rohit Chadgal, ACD Pardeep Kumar, District Ayush Officer, EO Municipal Committee Reasi and other officers were present.
