Story And Screenplay - Kudi Haryane Val Di Review

In this unique story by Rakesh Dhawan, Ammy Virk, a Punjabi Jatt disinterested in wrestling, who crosses paths with Sonam Bajwa's character, a Haryanvi Jaatni passionate about the sport. Despite the language barrier, Ammy falls in love with her at first sight during a visit to Haryana, where he represents his father’s team in a wrestling tournament. The film explores whether he can prove his love for both wrestling and her, and what sacrifices he must make, taking the audience on a captivating roller coaster ride.

Coming to the screenplay which had issues of making the journey gripping. It felt in and out at a few instances which could have been better.

Acting - Kudi Haryane Val Di Review

Sonam Bajwa undoubtedly stole the spotlight once again with her portrayal of a Haryanvi girl. You cannot pinpoint any mistake in the way she portrayed her part. The grip on the language was very fluent throughout. Ammy Virk on the other hand did what he always does the best, elevating his performance in the climax, showcasing commendable courage and depth as an actor. 

Yograj Singh emerges as a standout element in the film, delivering an unmatched level of energy. His performance takes his comic character to new heights, making it his best comedic role to date.

Ajay Hooda, Hardip Gill, Seema Kaushal, Yahspal Sharma, Manpreet Dolly played their part well supporting the overall cast throughout the film. The negatives came from Deedar Gill, Mintu Kapa, Honey Mattu and Deepak Niaz just because of the way they were used in the film.

Rakesh Dhawan consistently brings fresh ideas to every project he undertakes, and once again, he impresses. His ability to inject humour into unexpected situations is remarkable. Additionally, his dedication to flawlessly portraying wrestling sequences, which play a significant role in the film's climax, is truly commendable.

Music - Kudi Haryane Val Di Review

The music section was expertly managed, with songs perfectly distributed at just the right moments, each adding its own unique value to the film. The background score was also well-composed, enhancing the overall viewing experience without overshadowing the scenes.
