Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla released a book titled "Vinayak Damodar Savarkar Nayak Vs Pratinayak written by Kamalakant Tripathi in New Delhi today. On this occasion, the  Governor said that the objective assessment made in the book gives acceptance to Savarkar as a hero.

Shiv Pratap Shukla said that this book highlights the life and legacy of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar and how he inspired the people for revolution against British rule through his thoughts, literature and writings. Fearing Savarkar's revolutionary ideas, the British Government not only tortured him but also sentenced to two life sentences and was sent to the Cellular Jail. 

But without being afraid of, Savarkar made continuous efforts to unite Indians for the freedom of the country. He said that this book is dedicated to the biography, thoughts and contribution of Veer Savarkar to the national movement. Other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.

राज्यपाल शिव प्रताप शुक्ल ने आज नई दिल्ली में कमलाकांत त्रिपाठी द्वारा लिखी पुस्तक, विनायक दामोदर सावरकर नायक बनाम प्रतिनायक का विमोचन किया। इस अवसर पर उन्होंने कहा कि पुस्तक में किया गया वस्तुपरक आकलन सावरकर को नायक की स्वीकार्यरता प्रदान करता है।

श्री शुक्ल ने कहा कि यह पुस्तक विनायक दामोदर सावरकर के जीवन और विरासत पर प्रकाश डालती है कि किस प्रकार उन्होंने अपने विचारों, साहित्य, और लेखन से अंग्रेजी हुकूमत के खिलाफ क्रांति की बिगुल फूंक दी थी। सावरकर के क्रांतिकारी विचारों से डर कर गोरी हुकूमत ने उन पर न केवल जुल्म ढाया बल्कि उन्हें काला पानी भेजते हुए दो जन्मों के आजीवन कारावास की सजा भी सुनाई थी। 

लेकिन इन सब से बिना डरे सावरकर देश की आजादी के लिए भारतवासियों को एकत्रित करने में निरंतर प्रयास किए। अपनी लेखनी और विचारों से उन्होंने देश को एकसूत्र में पिरोने का काम किया। 

यह पुस्तक वीर सावरकर की जीवनी, विचार और राष्ट्रीय आंदोलन में उनके योगदान को समर्पित है। इस अवसर पर अन्य गणमान्य भी उपस्थित थे।
