Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, Congress candidate, invigorated his campaign with energetic meetings in the Vidhan Sabha constituencies of Gill and Atam Nagar. Addressing enthusiastic crowds, Warring emphasized the Congress's substantial contributions to Punjab and vowed to combat the divisive policies of the BJP.
"Countdown has begun. People of Punjab will support Congress in this fight against the BJP to save the democracy of India," declared Warring, underscoring the critical nature of the forthcoming elections.
Warring highlighted the contribution of the Congress government towards women's empowerment, including the introduction of free bus travel for women across Punjab, which has significantly enhanced women's mobility and economic participation.
He contrasted this with the AAP's unfulfilled promise of Rs. 1000 per month to women, pointing out that the Congress government in Karnataka is already providing Rs. 2000 monthly to women, showcasing Congress's commitment to social welfare.
Additionally, he reiterated Congress's promise to provide Rs. 8,500 per month to the eldest woman in each family, illustrating their dedication to enhancing women's lives in Punjab. He also pointed to other social welfare initiatives, such as the increase in old-age pensions and the expansion of the Shagun Scheme, which offers financial assistance for the marriage of girls from economically weaker sections.
He further highlighted the party's efforts to promote women's representation in politics through initiatives like the Women’s Reservation Bill, aiming to ensure greater gender equality in political participation.Bharat Bhushan Ashu, working president of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC), bolstered Warring's campaign.
Addressing the crowd, Ashu condemned the BJP's divisive policies to create fear in Hindu citizens. "Even during the tyrannical rule of Aurangzeb, when forced conversions and oppression were rampant, Hindus were not in danger because of the brave stand taken by Sikh Gurus.
Punjab will now remind this oppressive BJP government that its divisive agenda will not succeed here," Ashu proclaimed, reinforcing the historical resilience and unity of Punjab.Warring's campaign continues to gain momentum, reaffirming the Congress's dedication to democracy, unity, and comprehensive social welfare programmes.

ਕਾਂਗਰਸੀ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਅਮਰਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਰਾਜਾ ਵੜਿੰਗ ਨੇ ਗਿੱਲ ਅਤੇ ਆਤਮਾ ਨਗਰ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਹਲਕਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜ਼ੋਰਦਾਰ ਮੀਟਿੰਗਾਂ ਕਰਕੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਚੋਣ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਹੁਲਾਰਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਭਰਵੇਂ ਇਕੱਠ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ, ਵੜਿੰਗ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦੇ ਅਹਿਮ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ’ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਫੁੱਟ ਪਾਊ ਨੀਤੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਡਟ ਕੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਅਹਿਦ ਲਿਆ।
ਵੜਿੰਗ ਨੇ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਉਜਾਗਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਿਹਾ, "ਉਲਟੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਤੰਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਇਸ ਲੜਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦਾ ਸਾਥ ਦੇਣਗੇ।"ਵੜਿੰਗ ਨੇ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਸਸ਼ਕਤੀਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਦਾ ਜ਼ਿਕਰ ਕੀਤਾ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਭਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਲਈ ਮੁਫ਼ਤ ਬੱਸ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਤੀਸ਼ੀਲਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਭਾਗੀਦਾਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਵਾਧਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ 1000 ਰੁਪਏ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਮਹੀਨਾ ਦੇਣ ਦੇ ਵਾਅਦੇ ਨਾਲ 'ਆਪ' ਦੀ ਤੁਲਨਾ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਕਰਨਾਟਕ ਦੀ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ 2000 ਰੁਪਏ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਮਹੀਨਾ ਦੇ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਸਮਾਜ ਭਲਾਈ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦੀ ਵਚਨਬੱਧਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ 8,500 ਰੁਪਏ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਮਹੀਨਾ ਦੇਣ ਦੇ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦੇ ਵਾਅਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਹਰਾਇਆ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਧਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਉਸਦੇ ਸਮਰਪਣ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਬੁਢਾਪਾ ਪੈਨਸ਼ਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਧਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਗਨ ਸਕੀਮ ਦੇ ਵਿਸਥਾਰ ਸਮੇਤ ਹੋਰ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਭਲਾਈ ਦੀਆਂ ਤਰਜੀਹਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਵੀ ਧਿਆਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਜੋ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਵਰਗ ਦੀਆਂ ਲੜਕੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਆਹ ਲਈ ਵਿੱਤੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਰਿਜ਼ਰਵੇਸ਼ਨ ਬਿੱਲ ਵਰਗੇ ਕਦਮਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਨੁਮਾਇੰਦਗੀ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੇ ਯਤਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ, ਜਿਸਦਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਭਾਗੀਦਾਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਧ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਲਿੰਗ ਸਮਾਨਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣਾ ਹੈ।
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਜਕਾਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਭਾਰਤ ਭੂਸ਼ਣ ਆਸ਼ੂ ਨੇ ਵੜਿੰਗ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗੇ ਤੋਰਿਆ। ਆਸ਼ੂ ਨੇ ਹਿੰਦੂ ਨਾਗਰਿਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਰ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਦੀ ਫੁੱਟ ਪਾਊ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਦੀ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਏਕਤਾ ਦਾ ਜ਼ਿਕਰ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਔਰੰਗਜ਼ੇਬ ਦੇ ਜ਼ਾਲਮ ਰਾਜ ਸਮੇਂ ਵੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਜਬਰੀ ਧਰਮ ਪਰਿਵਰਤਨ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ੁਲਮ ਜ਼ੋਰਾਂ ’ਤੇ ਸਨ, ਉਦੋਂ ਵੀ ਸਿੱਖ ਗੁਰੂਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਗਏ ਦਲੇਰੀ ਭਰੇ ਕਦਮਾਂ ਕਾਰਨ ਹਿੰਦੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਖ਼ਤਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ।
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਹੁਣ ਇਸ ਦਮਨਕਾਰੀ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਦਿਵਾਏਗਾ ਕਿ ਉਸਦਾ ਫੁੱਟ ਪਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਏਜੰਡਾ ਇੱਥੇ ਕਾਮਯਾਬ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।" ਵੜਿੰਗ ਦਾ ਚੋਣ ਅਭਿਆਨ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਤੇਜ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਅੱਗੇ ਵੱਧ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਲੋਕਤੰਤਰ, ਏਕਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਸਮਾਜ ਭਲਾਈ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦੇ ਸਮਰਪਣ ਦੀ ਪੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

अमरिंदर सिंह कांग्रेस उम्मीदवार राजा वड़िंग ने गिल और आत्म नगर विधानसभा क्षेत्रों में जोरदार सभाओं के साथ अपने चुनाव अभियान को और आगे बढ़ाया। इस दौरान उत्साह से भरी भीड़ को संबोधित करते हुए वड़िंग ने पंजाब के लिए कांग्रेस के महत्वपूर्ण योगदान पर जोर दिया और भाजपा की विभाजनकारी नीतियों का मुकाबला करने की कसम खाई।
वड़िंग ने आगामी चुनाव की अहमियत का जिक्र करते हुए, कहा, "उलटी गिनती शुरू हो गई है। भारत के लोकतंत्र को बचाने के लिए पंजाब के लोग भाजपा के खिलाफ इस लड़ाई में कांग्रेस का समर्थन करेंगे।" वड़िंग ने महिला सशक्तीकरण की दिशा में कांग्रेस सरकार के योगदान का जिक्र किया, जिसमें पंजाब भर में महिलाओं के लिए मुफ्त बस यात्रा की शुरुआत शामिल है, जिसने महिलाओं की गतिशीलता और आर्थिक भागीदारी को काफी बढ़ाया है।

पंजाब प्रदेश कांग्रेस कमेटी के कार्यकारी अध्यक्ष भारत भूषण आशु ने वड़िंग के चुनाव अभियान को आगे बढ़ाया। आशु ने हिंदू नागरिकों में डर पैदा करने हेतु भाजपा की विभाजनकारी राजनीति की निंदा की। उन्होंने पंजाब के इतिहास और एकता का जिक्र करते हुए कहा, "औरंगजेब के अत्याचारी शासन के दौरान भी, जब जबरन धर्मांतरण और उत्पीड़न जोरों पर था, तब भी सिख गुरुओं द्वारा उठाए गए साहसी कदमों के कारण हिंदू खतरे में नहीं थे।
पंजाब अब इस दमनकारी भाजपा सरकार को याद दिलाएगा कि उसका विभाजनकारी एजेंडा यहां सफल नहीं होगा।" वड़िंग का चुनाव अभियान लगातार तेजी से आगे बढ़ रहा है, जो लोकतंत्र, एकता और व्यापक सामाजिक कल्याण से जुड़े कार्यक्रमों के प्रति कांग्रेस के समर्पण की पुष्टि करता है।
