In a fervent address to a large gathering in Fatehgarh Sahib, Leader of Opposition Partap Singh Bajwa launched a scathing attack on both the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab and the Narendra Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government at the centre.
The rally was organized in support of Dr. Amar Singh, the Congress party's candidate from the Fatehgarh Lok Sabha constituency. Bajwa sharply criticized the AAP government for its numerous unfulfilled promises and governance failures.
Highlighting a key promise made by AAP, Bajwa said, "The AAP government promised to provide a monthly pension of Rs 1000 to women in Punjab. However, they have failed to deliver on this commitment, leaving many women in the lurch."
This unfulfilled promise has been a significant point of contention, affecting the trust and expectations of many citizens who were banking on this support. Further lambasting the AAP, Bajwa pointed out the lack of female representation in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
"It is shocking and disappointing that the AAP has not given a single ticket to a woman candidate in Punjab for the Lok Sabha elections. This clearly shows their disregard for gender equality and women's empowerment," he stated. This omission has raised questions about the party's commitment to inclusive and representative politics.
Addressing the deteriorating law and order situation in Punjab, Bajwa remarked, "Under the AAP's administration, the law and order situation has degraded significantly. Incidents of crime and lawlessness are on the rise, and the government seems incapable of restoring peace and security in the state."
This criticism underscores growing concerns among the public about safety and governance in Punjab.Turning his attention to the central government, Bajwa condemned the BJP for its controversial candidate selections.
"The BJP has stooped to a new low by giving a ticket to the son of Brij Bhushan Singh, who is notorious for harassing national women players. This act is an insult to the values of decency and respect that we should uphold for our athletes and women," he asserted.
This accusation reflects the broader dissatisfaction with the BJP's handling of issues related to women's safety and dignity.In addition to his criticisms, Bajwa outlined key guarantees that the Congress party is committed to delivering if elected in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections:
Women’s Empowerment: Congress guarantees to implement a yearly 1 lakh per annum for women of families at the lower end of the pyramid.
Employment Opportunities: Congress commits to fill 30 lakh vacancies within the first year of governance, focusing on youth employment and skill development programs to boost economic growth and reduce unemployment.
Agricultural Support: Congress promises to make Minimum Support Price (MSP) a legal guarantee for crops, provide direct subsidies to farmers, and ensure timely disbursement of financial aid to support the agrarian community and uplift their livelihoods.
Healthcare: Congress guarantees to provide free quality healthcare services to all and health insurance of Rs 25 lakh to every citizen as provided by the party in Rajasthan.Bajwa's address was met with enthusiastic support from the crowd, signaling strong backing for Dr. Amar Singh and the Congress party.
In his concluding remarks, Bajwa urged the people of Fatehgarh to vote for Dr. Amar Singh, emphasizing the need for a government that truly represents and serves the people.

ਫਤਹਿਗੜ੍ਹ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਖੇ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡੇ ਇਕੱਠ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਧਿਰ ਦੇ ਨੇਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਜਵਾ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ (ਆਪ) ਸਰਕਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਦੀ ਨਰਿੰਦਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਾਲੀ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਜਨਤਾ ਪਾਰਟੀ (ਭਾਜਪਾ) ਸਰਕਾਰ 'ਤੇ ਤਿੱਖੇ ਹਮਲੇ ਕੀਤੇ। ਇਹ ਰੈਲੀ ਲੋਕ ਸਭਾ ਹਲਕਾ ਫਤਿਹਗੜ੍ਹ ਤੋਂ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੇ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਡਾ: ਅਮਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਹੱਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ।
ਬਾਜਵਾ ਨੇ 'ਆਪ' ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਕਈ ਅਧੂਰੇ ਵਾਅਦਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਸਫ਼ਲਤਾਵਾਂ ਲਈ ਤਿੱਖੀ ਆਲੋਚਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ। 'ਆਪ' ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕੀਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਅਹਿਮ ਵਾਅਦੇ ਦਾ ਜ਼ਿਕਰ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਬਾਜਵਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, "ਆਪ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀਆਂ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ 1000 ਰੁਪਏ ਮਹੀਨਾ ਪੈਨਸ਼ਨ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਵਾਅਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਵਚਨਬੱਧਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਸਫ਼ਲ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਧੋਖਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਅਧੂਰਾ ਵਾਅਦਾ ਵਿਵਾਦ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਬਿੰਦੂ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਨਾਗਰਿਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਉਮੀਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਇਸ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ 'ਤੇ ਆਸਾਂ ਟਿਕਾ ਕੇ ਬੈਠੇ ਸਨ।
'ਆਪ' 'ਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਵਰ੍ਹਦਿਆਂ ਬਾਜਵਾ ਨੇ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਲੋਕ ਸਭਾ ਚੋਣਾਂ 'ਚ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਨੁਮਾਇੰਦਗੀ ਦੀ ਕਮੀ ਵੱਲ ਧਿਆਨ ਦਿਵਾਇਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ, "ਇਹ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਰਾਸ਼ਾਜਨਕ ਹੈ ਕਿ 'ਆਪ' ਨੇ ਲੋਕ ਸਭਾ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਲਈ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਵੀ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਟਿਕਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਇਹ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਲਿੰਗ ਸਮਾਨਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਸ਼ਕਤੀਕਰਨ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਣਦੇਖੀ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।" ਇਸ ਭੁੱਲ ਨੇ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੀ ਸਮਾਨਤਾ ਵਾਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਨਿਧ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਵਚਨਬੱਧਤਾ 'ਤੇ ਸਵਾਲ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ।
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਗੜ ਰਹੀ ਅਮਨ-ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਦੀ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਬੋਧਿਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਬਾਜਵਾ ਨੇ ਟਿੱਪਣੀ ਕੀਤੀ, "ਆਪ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਮਨ-ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਦੀ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਿਗੜ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਅਪਰਾਧ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ-ਵਿਵਸਥਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਘਟਨਾਵਾਂ ਵੱਧ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਸੂਬੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਬਹਾਲ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਸਮਰੱਥ ਜਾਪਦੀ ਹੈ।" ਇਹ ਆਲੋਚਨਾ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਧ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਚਿੰਤਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੇਖਾਂਕਿਤ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲ ਧਿਆਨ ਦਿਵਾਉਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਬਾਜਵਾ ਨੇ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਦੇ ਵਿਵਾਦਪੂਰਨ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ਲਈ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਖਿਡਾਰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੋਸ਼ਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਬਦਨਾਮ ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਭੂਸ਼ਣ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਟਿਕਟ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਬੀਜੇਪੀ ਨੇ ਨਵਾਂ ਨੀਵਾਂ ਪੱਧਰ ਛੂਹ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇੱਕ ਨਵੀਂ ਨੀਵੀਂ ਥਾਂ ਲੈ ਲਈ ਹੈ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਇਲਜ਼ਾਮ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਮੁੱਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਅਸੰਤੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।ਆਲੋਚਨਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਬਾਜਵਾ ਨੇ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਲੋਕ ਸਭਾ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੁਣੇ ਜਾਣ 'ਤੇ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੁੱਖ ਗਾਰੰਟੀਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ।
ਮਹਿਲਾ ਸਸ਼ਕਤੀਕਰਨ: ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਗਰੀਬ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਲਈ ਸਾਲਾਨਾ 1 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੇਣ ਦੀ ਗਰੰਟੀ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਰੁਜ਼ਗਾਰ ਦੇ ਮੌਕੇ: ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ 30 ਲੱਖ ਖਾਲੀ ਅਸਾਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਲਾਰਾ ਦੇਣ ਅਤੇ ਬੇਰੁਜ਼ਗਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਘਟਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਰੁਜ਼ਗਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਹੁਨਰ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਧਿਆਨ ਕੇਂਦਰਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਵਚਨਬੱਧ ਹੈ।
ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ ਸਮਰਥਨ: ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਨੇ ਫਸਲਾਂ ਲਈ ਘੱਟੋ-ਘੱਟ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਮੁੱਲ (ਐੱਮ.ਐੱਸ.ਪੀ.) ਨੂੰ ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਗਾਰੰਟੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ, ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਧੀਆਂ ਸਬਸਿਡੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ, ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਦੇਣ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਰੋਜ਼ੀ-ਰੋਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਚਾ ਚੁੱਕਣ ਲਈ ਵਿੱਤੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਦੀ ਸਮੇਂ ਸਿਰ ਵੰਡ ਨੂੰ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਵਾਅਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਸਿਹਤ: ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਣਵੱਤਾ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਮੁਫਤ ਸਿਹਤ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜਸਥਾਨ ਮਾਡਲ ਦੇ ਅਧਾਰ 'ਤੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਨਾਗਰਿਕ ਲਈ 25 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਦਾ ਸਿਹਤ ਬੀਮਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਗਾਰੰਟੀ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਬਾਜਵਾ ਦੇ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਤਰਿਤ ਇਕੱਠ ਤੋਂ ਜੋਸ਼ ਭਰਿਆ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਡਾ. ਅਮਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਹਮਾਇਤ ਦਾ ਸੰਕੇਤ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਸਮਾਪਤੀ ਟਿੱਪਣੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਾਜਵਾ ਨੇ ਫਤਹਿਗੜ੍ਹ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਡਾ. ਅਮਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਵੋਟ ਪਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ 'ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜੋ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਨੁਮਾਇੰਦਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੋਵੇ।
