The Department of Posts, Government of India released a special cover on Mahila Samman Savings Certificate special campaign in Telangana 2023-2024 as part of 75 years of India’s independence celebrations at Kanha Shanti Vanam – the headquarters of Heartfulness in the outskirts of Hyderabad.

The cover was released by Hon’ble Minister of State for Communications Shri Devusinh Jesingbhai Chauhan ji in the Divine Presence of Padma Bhushan Awardee Rev. Daaji – Spiritual Guide of Heartfulness and President of Shri Ram Chandra Mission.

The scheme which was launched recently by India Post is aimed for the financial empowerment of women in India. The event began by a welcome address for Hon’ble Minister Shri Devusinh Chauhan ji, Rev. Daaji and other dignitaries followed by sharing information on Mahila Samman Certificate Special Campaign.

Hon’ble Minster Shri Devusingh Chauhan ji and Rev. Daaji jointly released the cover of the savings certificate followed by distribution of the savings certificate to beneficiaries. Hon’ble Minister was also felicitated by Rev. Daaji before an experiential Heartfulness Meditation session was conducted under the keen guidance of Rev. Daaji.

Shri Devusinh Chauhan ji, Hon’ble Minister of State for Communications, Govt. of India said, “This is one of the most treasured spiritual pilgrimages in the entire world, I feel fortunate to be here as you are also doing so much transformation in the society in such little time.

The Govt. of India has rightly conferred the Padma Bhushan upon Rev. Daaji, it is also a matter of pride for our countrymen as Rev. Daaji is upkeeping our tradition and culture alive besides advocating women empowerment.

The Mahila Samman Savings Scheme began this year as one of the most lucrative investments for women. We should take this scheme to all corners of the country and by June we aim to have more than 400 such accounts. By Daaji’s blessed presentation of the certificates to these women, they will see the transformation in their lives.”

Rev. Daaji, Spiritual Guide of Heartfulness and President of Shri Ram Chandra Mission said, “Society should accept the unfortunate widows and allow them one more chance of establishing a family without any negative feelings.

We must emphasise on women’s education. With my masters’ inspiration we have begun programmes like the Divya-Janani programmes, where giving ‘sanskars’ after birth is not enough – we teach how parents should invite the soul and nourished, and how babies should be taken care of after delivery and how we should make spiritual giants out of them for our country so that our heritage shall shine with the spiritual light once again and awaken the rest of the world.

This will happen only with women empowerment. Financial security is only an appreciation for the downtrodden section of the community. Whenever possible, those who employ such individuals, please collect the names of their wives and sisters if they are less advantaged and give them something that they would like to have instead of buying unnecessary things for yourself.

Poorer sections need the freedom to spend the money as per their choice. The Govt. has taken such a noble cause. We hope women of India make the best use of the Mahila Samman Certificate scheme from India Post.”
