Sanjay Dutt, who is a renowned Bollywood actor and also garners immense love from fans worldwide, is making headlines. The actor has achieved and given many memorable performances in the industry. And now once again, he is all set to hit the big screens with a negative role. After Adheera in KGF Chapter 2, fans wished to see Sanjay as a negative character. 

Now, if reports are anything to go by, he is set to play the antagonist in Thalapathy Vijay's upcoming film. The film has become one of the most talked about movies among fans and the industry, and now with the news of Sanjay Dutt's casting, it has been grabbing more attention. Speaking of the film, Lokesh Kanagaraj is in charge of directing Thalapathy. According to a rumour, the movie's script calls for the inclusion of several strong villains, and Sanjay will portray one of them.

Moreover, it has also been revealed that director Lokesh has been in conversation with Sanjay Dutt for a while now and things have finally fallen into place. It has also been reported that the actor has been paid a gigantic amount of Rs 10 crore to act in the film. If this is true, then fans are really excited as Sanjay Dutt’s presence will add a Pan India flavour to this film. 

Further, the shooting for Thalapathy is said to have commenced in October or November, but the makers have not officially announced the same. Rumour has it that Prithviraj would also play a villain in the Lokesh Kanagaraj movie, but our insider claims that paperwork must still be completed and that the Malayalam star is now only on Lokesh's wish list. The release of Thalapathy is planned for Diwali 2023. Following the January 2023 release of Varisu, it would be Vijay's second movie of the year.
