Ashmuqam, Also known as 'ReshWaer' or 'PirWaer'(abode of saints), with thousands of shrines dotted, Kashmir and Kashmiri Rishism is well documented in prestigious records and also has it's name in foreign literature as well. Popularly Known as Sakhi Zainudin of Ashmuqam, Baba Zain ud din Reshi (RA) is one among the most celebrated Reshi Saints the valley has ever had. Dating back to 15 century AD, he is one of the saints to lay the foundation of the Kashmiri Reshi order and is highly remembered for his charity and generosity (Sakhawat) for centuries together.
Situated on a hill lock, Hazrat Zain-ud-Din Wali's shrine is about 12 miles short of the famous hill resort of Pahalgam overlooking the mesmerizing Lidder Valley. The road to the shrine takes a right from main Anantnag-Pahalgam road. A few hundred metres walk or drive takes you to the foot of the stone stair that heads to the shrine. Devotees from the distant corners of the state, country and even foreigners, visit the spiritual space throughout the year while maximum of the devotees gather here during the Urs days (annual days) which begin from the 16th of Zaeth of the local calendar and is celebrated from pre-Islamic times and dates back to about 2,000 years. The most eye catching function held here is that of lighting up wood torches locally known as ‘Zool or Phrow’.The shrine is still regarded as symbol of the spiritual legacy and wonder of the Kashmiri Reshi order. Regardless of the communities people pay a lot of respect to the shrine and actively participate in the celebration of the anniversary. Nobody is restricted to the enter into the shrine and is open to visitors of any sex or community.His devotees believe that even today no one goes empty handed from his Dargah.

Located in South-Kashmir's Anantnag district and short to the world famous tourist attracting destination Pahalgam, its beauty draws visitors to the Shrine in any season.
