Rajinder Kaur, Founder Members of Prabh Aasra informed that a 30 years old person was brought for admission in a highly dilapidated condition on the orders of S.D.M. Mohali to Society. The inmate was noticed sitting on roadside in front of D.C. Complex, Phase-1, Mohali. At that spot reportedly he was living for the last 10 years and was being feeded by people of the area. The people used to call him Bhagat Jee. News of this person was also published in Tribune News Paper dated 8-8-10 along with his photographs. The information of his stay on road side was given by some generous person to District Administration who referred him for admission to Society. At the time of admission he was not able to tell his name even. The Society had given him name Sunil. After great deal of care and treatment for the 3 to 4 years he could reveal incomplete address of his home. Under Mission Milap we tried to locate his family but did not achieve successes due to incomplete address. We did not lost hope and continued our efforts to trace his family.
It is only after 9 years with the help of concerned police authorities we could contact his family members. His elder brother along with Mukhia of village appeared in the Society on 11-8-2019 to receive the inmate. They informed that at the age of 10 years he had left the home without knowledge of any family member. His original name is Jhaber Prasad. At that time they had also lodged a police complain but he could not be traced by police. In the mean time the parents of Sunil also expired. They further stated that as soon as they came to know that he is alright and living in Prabh Aasra the whole family was happy and jubilant. On finding his younger brother in Society, Sunil was very happy. He asked about other family members at home. After about spending 5 hours with his brother he was reluctant to go to his home. He refused to go back to his home on the plea that Prabh Aasra is his home and he is very happy in Prabh Aasra, he would not go to his original home. The brother and Mukhia of village were grateful to Society for care and treatment of Sunil and they also allowed him to stay in Society.
