Lawrence School Sector- 51 observed Basant Panchmi with week long activities at its campus. Faculty members and students first, worshiped Saraswati Goddess   of knowledge, music and art, as she symbolizes the constant flow of wisdom, she also represents full blooming of multi-hued nature ,kindling the light of inspiration and hope   .After that various  competitions along with kite flying was organized  and   several students of institution participated in this competition .While speaking on this occasion Principal Veena Malhotra explained the importance of the Basant Panchmi to the students .She told that kite flying is related to our culture ,earlier people enjoyed this festival while flying kites and welcoming the Basant season but nowadays trend have changed so far .Children are forgetting their culture and tradition and    to make them aware about their culture and tradition such kinds of events are very important She further added that Basant Panchami marks the end of the winter season yellow colour has its own importance on in nature too like mustard fields, bright sun ,ripen crop.
