Punjab Deputy Chief Minister, Sukhbir Singh Badal has congratulated voters of Khadoor Sahib constituency for stupendous results of by poll and said that people would vote in favour of development similarly during 2017 assembly polls and SAD-BJP combine would enter electoral fray riding on its exceptional performance.Talking to media persons during review of development works in lambi assembly constituency, Deputy Chief Minister said that Congress and AAP boycotted khadoor sahib by-poll in a wishful thinking that people would follow suit but aware people of khadoor sahib have shown mirror of truth to these parties by voting heavily in favour of SAD. He said that victory of SAD candidate by more than 65000 votes has put a stamp of approval on development oriented works of state government. He divulged that SAD would go to people’s court in 2017 on basis of development projects executed during previous 9 years.
Terming both AAP and congress as parties devoid of issues, S. Badal said that these parties are indulging in misinformation campaign which would not be allowed to succeed. He informed that rapid pace of development in Punjab is in itself a strong proof of solid financial status of state. Coming to drug issue, he disclosed that Punjab is courageously fighting nation’s battle on drugs and forces indulging in malicious campaign against state on this issue should know that drugs in Punjab are far less than that of other states.He made an announcement that in next 5 years focus would be on developing villages of state leading to concretization of streets of all villages of Punjab. Similarly, state government would make recruitments to 1.20 lakh jobs in order to provide employment avenues for state’s youth.
Reviewing CC flooring of streets in villages-Dabwali Dhab, Gurusar, Khemakhera, Luhara, Killianwali of lambi constituency, Deputy Chief Minister announced that CC flooring work in all villages of constituency would be over by this year besides announcing construction of ‘Phirnis’ with CC flooring. Instructing officers of development agencies to lay underground pipes of drinking water before CC flooring, S. Badal ordered them to leave space for tree plantation also. Similarly, he also instructed officials of concerned departments for installation of solar street lights in villages. It is important to mention that concretization work of streets-Drains in 30 villages is going on war footing.sOn this occasion, Chairman Punjab Agro, Jathedar Dayal Singh Kolianwali, President Lambi circle Mr. Avtar Singh Vanwala, Chairman Mr. Tejinder Singh Middukhera, OSDs to Chief Minister, Mr. Gurcharan Singh and Mr. Balkaran Singh, Deputy Commissioner Mr. Sumit Jarangal, SSP Mr. Kuldeep Singh Chahal, SDM Mr. Vishesh Sarangal and Halqa Incharge Gidderbaha, Mr. Hardeep Singh Dimpy Dhilon were also present.
